Abstract

In the present work, the simulation of a forest fire in Tingo María National Park is carried out using FlapMap 6.2 software, which was introduced processed data from the Geo Gps Peru geo server, in the QGIS software, obtaining as input data the vegetation cover (fuels), slopes, wind speed, elevation; These data were processed giving as a result the intensity of the fire line, height of the flame, and the speed of propagation, all having correlation in the area of incidence, located in the fringes of the National Park of Tingo Maria, as a result of agricultural activity and burning of forests of the surrounding population, as a result of urban expansion, it should be noted that in these areas the speed of propagation is high with an affectation of 27 meters per minute, affecting the vegetation cover in a decisive way. Therefore, the present work achieves the simulation and correlation of the consequences of a forest fire in Tingo Maria National Park.
